In the meantime, I know that the Ransom Center does have a fair amount of their material online as well. It's definitely worth checking out the site! Nice to meet a fellow fan.

xxEEllishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01809613889067885185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6711372399927809289.post-88299903112452160482011-04-14T10:05:09.169-07:002011-04-14T10:05:09.169-07:00Oh, my. Since I'm located in Germany I won't (ever) be able to visit the Ransom Center myself. Would it be possible for you to make your photos available somehow?
Since I don't want to type in my eMail-address here, could you answer on the given website (as a comment or the "Muss es sein?" link?
That would be perfect.Thorstenhttp://houseofleavesinstallation.tumblr.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6711372399927809289.post-29857375815940294762011-02-22T16:14:10.600-08:002011-02-22T16:14:10.600-08:00Welcome to Livre Life. One of the coolest things about the Ransom Center is that they've not only amassed the letters of contemporary authors, but their libraries as well.

Looking at DFW's annotated copies of Borges and McCarthy and (of course) DeLillo, you really get a sense of how much he valued the act of note taking and underlining; it was part of his craft. And a process that will be hard to replicate in e-reader format, for sure.Ellishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01809613889067885185noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6711372399927809289.post-42447531294272549662011-02-22T08:33:09.997-08:002011-02-22T08:33:09.997-08:00Dellilo is wonderful. I leaf through Pinball for fun and find as a bookmark a business card from about 20 years ago of my first job out of college. You can't do that with an ebook.Duncannoreply@blogger.com
